Carrying On

In addition to dealing with her husband's death, which left her alone with four young children, Mrs. King did not hesitate to pick up his mantle, marching, even before her husband was buried, at the head of the striking garbage workers that he had gone to Memphis to champion. She then went on to lead the effort for a national holiday in his honor and to found the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Non-Violent Social Change in Atlanta, dedicated both to scholarship and to activism, where Dr. King is buried.

The Eulogy

was a powerful and relevant message delivered by Elder Bernice King,

Daughter of Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King.

Mainstream media gave it scanty coverage while missing most of its significance.

Thus far, the only complete

transcript

that we have been able to obtain comes from the labor of love

of a person who worked at her keyboard throughout the night with her recorder.

Please be sure to read it!

If the people from every nation would comprehended, and live the spirit of the mesesage of Coretta Scott King,

the visions of Bishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela and dreams of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X

could be fulfilled in our own lifetime.

Meanwhile, it is way past time to heed Dr Bill Cosby's message and get on with the "real" revolution.

It begins in our hearts, in our  homes and in our neighborhoods.

Dear Child of God:

Since
"War IS Hell"

(General William T Sherman)

And since
"It must be of the SPIRIT
if we are to save the flesh"

(General Douglas MacArthur)

Wouldn't it be prudent to consider other options?

(Still widely ignored on a planet gone berserk!)

Dr Martin Luther King Jr's
"Keys to Peace!"

How can people claim to honor the memory
of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

and disregard his keys to peace?

The madness can stop.

People do have choices!

(If you have not read it, please do not assume
that you know what he said.)
